The name is IREWolfman, i'm Irish if you didn't guess.

And like to play games...

Netduma is great but sometimes I feel I'm doing it all wrong.

I have my ISP modem/router in Bridge mode - then the Netduma - then my Netgear D7000 in Wireless AP Mode.

I have a sync of 102 down and 20 up. Waiting on getting my FTTH connected. Might move house, which will make it quicker. Then its 1000 down and 100 up.

On my Netduma i set the speed to 95 down and 19.5 up, seen as I get that pretty much all the time. Without the Netduma I get constant speed, but with the Netduma my speed can go from 90 to 60. And my ping is good 15ms, but I can't get the bloat to stay lower on max ping.

Can't wait for the new firmware! I'm always looking to test stuff especially if it makes things better!

Anyway hello eveyone! Hope to hear from some Irish people ;)

Hey, welcome to the forum!

Are you testing the speed via WiFi/ethernet? Depending on the time of day speed test can vary quite a lot as well. Are you doing the tests at 100% each time?

Bufferbloat only occurs when your connection is saturated so with congestion control applied that won't occur.

If you provide the screenshots from here we can help optimise as well: http://support.netdu...t-on-the-forum-

Hi Wolfman,

Welcome to the forum

I like cats and cheese and CoD. Don't mix them up, it'll ruin your lunch and your Xbox. And your cat.

Yes @100%, and always wired! It would be in the evening so maybe thats why. I tried 70%, but 30% for down and 60% for up work best for the stable ping. At work so no pictures right now. Of course I prefer ping over speed any day!

Yep that sounds right, speeds are often throttled during peak times. If that's what works best for you then that's great!
