Call of Duty 2017, your hopes and wishes.

Well it won't be long until we all know what Call of Duty 2017 has in store for us. 

Most of the rumours circling the internet at the moment are pointing to a World War 2 style boots on the ground shooter.

Personally, I am hoping that only part of that is true. The boots on the ground bit.

I took to the flying squirrel gaming in Advanced Warfare slowly but played it to the end but was not personally enamoured with it at all.

Black ops 3 continued in that vein with jumping about futuristic stuff and despite over three and a half million dislikes the devs did it again with Infinite warfare which by Call of Duty standards has to be called a flop even by fanboy standards.

 

So what do we all want, hope for and expect Call of Duty 2017 to bring us?

I really hope that it isn't WW2 or WW1. There are so many other "boots on the ground" options that a company of Activision's level should be able to pull something a bit more original out of the bag.

Im hoping for another Call of Duty 4 game changing title but in my heart Im guessing were going to be getting a re skinned World at War.

So many wars so many years to choose from and I'm not talking about Zulu's lol Agree on the connections. A lack of gingerbread man, glow in the dark spaceman DLC would be a bonus but can't see that happening.

Oh Ill have a tenner on that you will be killed by that or something similar. 

I don't mind the WW2 stuff it's just that there is so much scope for something different but I guess after IW they have to do something to bring back the faithful so will probably go with tried and tested.

Cross platform Xbox + PS4 (not PC, mouse keyboard pwnage).

Lots and lots of people playing it so that it doesn't have to scrape any old butt-connection up just to fill a lobby.

Loads of dedis so that we can geo filter around with wild abandom like a fat kid in a cake shop.

 

With the above we can have strict implementation of some kind of ranking of connections for matchmaking.

For example: Under 20 ms stable = 1, Under 50ms stable = 2, etc, etc, and the dial-up, phone hotspot, scum-connections, can all enjoy playing their games together well away from me!

With this I would like to see stricter penalties for people leaving just because they weren't going to be top, or at least much bigger XP rewards for finishing matches (to make it worth it).

 

100% connection-based matchmaking, not a sniff of skill-based unless it's only in a 'ranked' / 'pro' arena.

Pub-stomping should always be possible. People jumping of the map 30 times to lower their stats should never be allowed to happen again.

 

Termination of accounts and total lockout of consoles, for boosting, fixing, etc, preferably termination of person as well.

 

Variety in maps, both size and layout. Short-range weapons must actually be short-range weapons, rather than being a viable option on every map and at almost any range.

 

If supply drops (of course there will be), then NO DUPLICATES and no shitty camos to wade through. How many shades of brown that I'm never going to use do I need. And flag camo should be provided not unlockable. That's just lazy.

 

No more flying about.

 

Wouldn't mind 'leaning' being implemented but maybe not.

 

The following should not be beneficial to the participant.

Jumping up and down. Should make you an easy target rather than being a viable dodging technique.

Drop-shotting. Exactly as above. Unless some kind of 'quick-to-ground-dive' is put into the movement system.

Quick scoping. Should not be a viable technique at all. Point-blank sniper kills, fine. But at distance, no.

'Specialists' should be toned down. No stupid super-powers.

 

Think that covers it.

 

Oh yes, it should be finished and have all features including leaderboards when it is released.

I don't even care if it has a campaign at all. I'd prefer it not to actually so that they can concentrate on the multiplayer side of things.

Working bullets. <7ms to my local server in IW does not work; I end up recording most deaths just to compare them to what I saw so I can laugh at the lies. Oh and no more players connecting to EU servers from Asia.

You're not buying another cod then, lol If they would do one of two things. One, rebuild the age old engine the game works off. or 2 stop putting to much shit as in camos etc and other girly dlc  till the server and game engine can deal with that shit.

The game played faking great RIGHT UP TILL ALL THE DLC BOLLOCKS AND  ALL THE STUFF  THAT MOST PLAYERS DON'T GIVE A S##T ABOUT!!!!!.  

Anyway ill go back to my knitting. lol `fekking load of bollocks needs sorting out. Send in Arnie to kill em all useless ....  Just my thoughts on the matter.

What I hope/wish in this order: 

1. No boost jumping. 

2. No skill-based matchmaking.

3. Improved Networking capabilities

4. No washed out graphics.

5. No supply drops ( But this shite will never happen)

6. Allow the ability to enable/disable dlc maps. Please.

I want the game to be basic as hell...just good solid coding, match players by ping, good hit detection and IMO raise the price of the game to 80 or 90 bucks and have the DLC come with every copy of the game so everyone has it, it will make the game so much better for matchmaking purposes as the DLC gets released.If a dumbass like myself can understand how much this will help the game,I can't understand how the devs don't get it.I hope they realize that it's time for them to stop putting money first and focus on the things that matter, they'll still get their money from game sales and supply drops and other non important crap,but I do think the game is really struggling and if they blow this one, it's gonna be an issue.

I don't know about it playing well before DLC, it was crap maybe 50% of the time but not quite as bad as this. Most games on the UK server feel like a two bar

You had any luck on other servers Bags, maybe in France or Germany? It seems better on say 20ms but it's not consistent. 6ms just... isn't 6ms lol

I literally stopped playing IW weeks/months ago. Only play it when friends want to and that usually State side with 100 MS of ping. Unplayable I just make up the numbers.

My geo is over 7 dedis and they all play the same for me now. I haven't had a really laggy match now for a month.

Having said that, that might change this week when I change ISP's and have to mess with my settings again to get it to play well.

I messed with some settings last night, making sure my filter covered the UK only to rule out latency as a variable, and it was incredible. 7ms was actually 7ms.

 

Today it's been bipolar again so I should probably just give up. I've not had any consistency whatsoever since Ghosts and the better my setup (and skill as a player) gets, the worse my experience becomes. Getting bored of it to be honest.
