Can't connect to router via Ethernet only via wifi - wan not working either

Recommended Posts

Hoping for the best but fearing the worst here.

The subject line sums it up. I can only access the R1 via wifi. When I am connected via wifi I have no internet.  I have tried this on different computers, no connection on any of them. It is like all the ports stopped working all of sudden?

Obviously open to troubleshooting, not sure where to start. I have let it sit for days unplugged, have restarted, reset, changed cords, etc.

Thanks in advance.

Make sure on any wired devices that it's connecting with automatic settings. Do you have a WAN IP in the device manager?

Can you connect via ethernet after following this? http://support.netduma.com/support/solutions/articles/16000022375-i-unticked-preserve-settings-when-upgrading-can-t-access-my-router-help

No WAN IP listed in device manager.

Verified pc is using automatic settings under internet options in control panel.  I can't access the router via either ip 88.1 or 1.1 via hardwired connection to port 2. When connected via wifi I reach it via 88.1

What is your ISP? Do you know if you require PPPoE authentication? On your ISP hub can you see the router as a connected device? Connect via ethernet to the router and open a Command Prompt and type in "ipconfig". Then post screenshot here please

I am on a fiber connection so there is no hub in the house. I assume no PPPoE. An ethernet cable comes directly into the house from a box hanging outside.

This is the ipconfig connected to the router via port 2

I don't know if this is at all helpful but this is the ipconfig on the same computer with the fiber connected directly

Thank you, I usually see that testing and a factory reset resolves it. Unplug everything except power and hold reset button for 5 seconds then let go, it should beep. Then wait a few minutes and connect the ethernet for internet into port 1, then about 10 seconds later do PC to port 2 and see if you have internet/can access the interface.
