How to setup Netduma R1 with Plusnet Hub

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have plugged in the netduma as instructed but now have two routers giving out the wifi.

How do I put the Plusnet into modem mode or DMZ, I'm struggling to find an answer?

Many thanks

ok, first of all log into your plusnet router and see if there is a an option to put it into modem mode, if not then disable all wifi on the hub and use the wifi on the netduma. the default wifi  is

USERNAME: netdumar1

PASSWORD: netdumar1

also if there is no modem only mode then go into the firewall settings and look for DMZ and input the ip address of the netduma that the plusnet hub has given it into the DMZ.

I still wasn't entirely sure what to do.

I can turn 'wireless network enable' from yes to no.

Or there is a 'DMZ enable' toggle.

Is either of these what I need to do?

I've taken some pics if I can upload them?

No on wireless, enable DMZ and use the WAN IP from the Netduma device manager

I still can't do this. Sorry for being a pain but my netduma has been obsolete for about a year now. I have followed as best I can but I cannot select the netduma wan IP or anything netduma from the drop down list. I've tried several times and get nowhere so end up just going back to the Plusnet. :(

Once the netduma is connected as instructed it also does not have an Internet connection. Devices connect but have no Internet access so to look on here for solutions I then have to connect back to the Plusnet. What a nightmare! :(

You may need to enable PPPoE in WAN settings and type in a username and password to get a connection to the internet. I'm on BT and have to do this but I duno about Plusnet.

Think I'm finally getting somewhere with this now. I've got WiFi &router working but now have two devices giving out WiFi. I've enabled DMZ on Plusnet. How do I turn the WiFi of on it? Spoken to plusnet and they're useless. The 'Fix' on Plusnet forum is to buy another modem. Might be easier.
