Connecting printer

Recommended Posts

Assuming the printer is capable then it's usually very easy, you can either plug a network cable into it or connect via wifi.

You just need to go through the printer's menu system and add the network name and password.

If you kept the same network name and password from your previous router then it should already be set up.

Could I get a hand setting up a Brother MFC-6920DW please? I have it connected to my R1, and see it in the device list, however, my PC keeps saying its offline and I can't print to it. I'm on W10-64 bit. Idk if I have to forward ports or what.

Give the Printer a static IP address in DHCP lease. Does the router give it an IP address in device manager when you see it?
