The game does not connect me to dedicated servers at all. I play just player hosted matches, and they are horrible. But when I disable the geo filter it connects me to the servers in florida, which is where I live. With bo3 this does not happen. I find games extra quick with any settings I set. Any suggestions? Don't waste your time with Infinite Warfare. Not even the R1 can save this game. Especially on the PS4 network. I fricken HATE this game with a PASSION! It happens from time to time,IMO they've been tweaking some things on IW don't know if it's matchmaking tweaks or what but I definitely notice a difference in time finding games and just to test some things I'll leave my GF off and see where I end up.I live 82 actual miles from the Illinois dedi bank and with the GF off I end up all over the country...Texas,Bama,Florida,Cali,which we all know shouldn't happen.And some times it seems the dedi's are "not on" as I'll get P2P games also.Somebody is playing around with something which will as we all know make the game worse, if that's possible. It's probably because of the way that IW selects a player host (or whatever it is) before it puts you onto the game-server. If that pre-dedi host is outside of the geo filter then you won't connect to it, so you end up waiting longer for a game or it chucks you onto P2P. As Boom said IW in their infinite wisdom decided to actually pick a P2P connection as host before it connects you to a dedi,no idea why they did this but they did. And it should put you in dedis in Florida as it's in your GF,the PS4 dedis for you GF would be...Florida,Bama,Georgia,NJ,Illinois (both northern and southern) but as I said IMO they are playing around with things on the game and I noticed that the wait times were really longs I ran without my GF on over the weekend also.And it still took longer than normal to get in a match for some reason. So my guess is when you disable the GF it gives you more options for dedis,which means you might get into games faster but you might not and it might be a P2P game. So her's what I did over the weekend, searched for a game with the GF off and then when I got in a lobby on a dedi in my GF I enabled my GF again and it would keep me in that lobby.But also noticed that there was lots of lobby booting with the filter on or off, which makes me think someone is tweaking some things. frustrated Posted February 7, 2017 Share Posted February 7, 2017 It's a very odd game in general for getting games, personally never have geo on always off Dedi everytime, even with geo on Dedi everytime, so the only reason I would put geo on is, maybe to get out of a lobby with the same players, that maybe where laggy, it's a weird game, see personally I never get p2p very rare, almost wish I did ...As the servers as you no aren't always that great, IW is named inconsistent warfare. Because naturally when I'm in a dedicated server I get pings of 19 to 30 around the east coast. No matter what my ping is, I always get those wtf moments. I guess is just the game.
