Friends can't join my games

So I have added the players to the approved list yet they are still unable to join my games. I had to turn the function off to allow them in. Can someone help me?

Really struggling to get this to work as advertised.

You mentioned in another thread that your friends have a moderate NAT. That's likely where the problem originates from. The Geofilter will never block anyone on the Allow list, so the Geofilter isn't at fault, and since your NAT is open it looks like you'll have a great connection when you're playing on your own.

I would recommend getting your friends to solve their NAT issue. Also, please clarify: Was this an issue before you got the Netduma? That's something we really need to know.

This wasn't an issue before I had the Duma. I was open and they were moderate. So the Duma in my case is the issue. If I disconnect my Duma and use my home hub 6 they can join me.

In that case, try removing them from the allow list, inviting them to a private party and adding them at 100% quality again. We've never encountered a case where the allow list isn't working properly, so it's very unlikely to be the cause. What game and game mode are you trying to play? What happens when they try to join on their screen?

Cod tdm but it's at the lobby screen.

So at the lobby screen they try and join. I then see in the UI and add them to the list by moving slider to 100% then clicking update. They then try and join again and it just blocks them at the cod screen. If I turn off the host filtering they still can't join. I can only play with them by joining one of the other guys we can both join. I will make a video of it when I get home and post a link if that helps?

It's possible that "Anti-Cheat" is preventing them from joining, so make sure you wait for the Geofilter map to completely clear before you invite them. Though it doesn't make sense that after disabling the Geo-filter they can't then join, since when it's disabled the R1 effectively acts as a standard router. Do you see anything being blocked when it's disabled, or when you've allowed them?

I haven't managed to get the video yet. However it does seem that the issue has resolved itself. My friend who was struggling to join me was appearing in the map at a different location to where he actually is.

Another friend doesn't show up at all but he can still join so it isn't really a problem.

I will try and get a video over the weekend so you can see but I think over all it is now working more like I expected.

That seems like it was a really weird issue; it'd be great if you could upload that video so we can try and figure out what happened. I'm always tempted to say that a background matchmaking / network server was blocked, but since it still occurs with the Geo disabled it has to be something else. I'm glad it resolved itself though.
