New User - VPN Issue

Hi guys,

 

I've just brought a netduma R1 box, and reason behind it was to have a permanent vpn running for my TV. However, the download speeds are awful when using the vpn.

 

I have a 100mbps download and 6mbps upload via Virgin Media, and the SuperHub is in Modem mode.  If I run a speed test with the vpn disabled, I get between 86\95mbps download, but with the vpn enable it drops to a horrific 6mbps ??

 

I've followed all the recommended settings and read lots on the netduma site and Mikrotech router forums, but nothing is changing.

 

Can anyone please advise ?

Hey, welcome to the forum!

 

Sorry to say that the VPN speed is limited to around 10mbps. That should be enough for what you need it for, unless it's a smart TV & you're watching Netflix etc on it?
