mike Posted October 27, 2016 Share Posted October 27, 2016 recently i have had bee/beaver/beetle errors on destiny , the game even told me it cant connect to psn i tried a few times then i did a test on the ps4 that came up fine everything connected when i tried destiny again bingo it connects also on the director screen it constantly changes from showing 0 friends online to showing how many friends that are online. also i had a thought if i temp ban the server hub in france it may stop players from europe leap frogging from hub to hub and then to me with there now mahoosive ping times but i need strict turned on after turning this on to trial my idea instant beaver errors more beaver than a porn site until i turned strict off again. settings:- ps4 d/l u/p as measured on ps4 15.9 d/l 4.6 u/p ping around 20ms netduma connection test - exceptional on everything auto ping host-ticked strict-unticked ping assist-zero home location-ireland , actual location england distance-784km auto cloud-ticked bleeding edge cloud-ticked whitelist-21 game server-14 map-25 i never use the destiny profile as it always seems to set the distance to all the known universe no matter how many times i re-set it and save it and i dont realise until i shoot a player in pvp then melee them then titan fist o panic them and they take no damage and turn around and 1 shot me lol. is it just the servers they use (again) or is there a setting that wants a tweak after the last set of tweaks ?. and i think that since RoI came out bungle hasnt shut the servers down like they normally do to change the hamsters/rubber bands/sellotape or sticky backed plastic if you remember that far back lol. ltr7 Posted October 27, 2016 Share Posted October 27, 2016 I love my R1 and have had it since the early adopter edition but there isn't much benefit it can offer to Destiny unfortunately because p2p is where the R1 should really shine. I've never been able to use any of the geo filter functions without several errors and being booted from matchmaking. Kinda suck because all I play is Destiny now, gave up on COD after second DLC of BO3. I think the new IW title will be much worse so looks like another year of Destiny for me, unless Insomniac games comes out with another Resistance title, oh how I wish. Then re apply auto cloud and bleeding edge.Just to flush the cloud. Also yes PvP played terrible nowdays, I also think it's because there's less playing it, causing matchmaking to be even worse, connection I mean. With strict on you get booted, agree I run ping assist at zero and basically pray! Look bungie needs dedi server's, and that's that.Pvp isn't a good setup, so I think we are stuck to be honest. I've also been getting kicked lately, it's just bungie servers, that word servers amazes me, its some little hub in Seattle serving the whole network? The reason we say strict off is because sometimes it will try to make a connection to a dedicated server and if it can't it will boot you. We will get the DLC and see what's happening. The optimal settings guide will tell you how to put your setting. Unfortunately, the newer updates in Destiny were made to work around routers with geofilters. They have authentication servers, activity servers (those track the score, objective state and ammo boxes), and one of the players hosts the actual game/map/physics on their console. Ever since the DLC their servers have been flapping ('weasel' is one error from which you know connection was lost to Bungie servers), their API breaks almost nightly, but you also have the usual P2P issues when you get disconnected from another player ('beaver' is one such error). willphule Posted October 31, 2016 Share Posted October 31, 2016 Edit: After posting I realized I hadn't done the obvious yet. I turned off the profile and disabled the psn filters and I am back! Super snappy, no lag. k/d back up where it belongs and my wife is quite happy as my corner of the room is quiet again as the cursing has stopped. Unhappy I can't use my filters, but so happy I can enjoy the game again. Give is a shot, I'd be interested to see if it is just me or not. ------------ Destiny has been unbearable since ROI was released, pvp isn't playable anymore no matter what settings I use. frustrated Posted November 1, 2016 Share Posted November 1, 2016 Hi, I used to play PvP on a regular basis, every game around 18-20plus kills but since Iron lords, I'm lucky to get 14 plus I think 17 was my max, matchmaking is taking to long, your playing with laggy red bar, actually I see more of where the whole lobby goes to yellow then green..you seem to get two tap now, I unload 7 mida I die in like 1. I think the lag comp is worse, and your almost punished for having good internet. Seems the worse your internet the better the games you have.Guns are completely unbalanced now hand cannons two tap, clever dragon one burst ,storm caller op ..but nerf Sunsinger ? Matador range of a fel winter, I'm not sure what's happening with crucible but it's just not fair to be p2p connections I think less are playing so it's becoming harder to filter players in your area. I've quit PvP just broken coding and sheer lag comp and latency issues, I get games of 650ms can you imagine! What did you mean by profile and filters ? Its disabled as auto&bleeding edge cloud are enabled so you have the latest cloud updates. You can disable and then choose manually if you choose. mike Posted November 1, 2016 Author Share Posted November 1, 2016 just in the crucible now lots of red bars. i did get a triple kill with a titan lightning grenade which is always cool and when i got a dbl kill with the seldom seen dragons breath i nearly wet my self laughing until the next match when everyone seemed to be using dragons breath , using my own tricks against me HMMPH so i left lol. i normally play control (a hangover from when crucible bounties used to be harder to get) so i kinda know where to be etc on most maps. frustrated Posted November 2, 2016 Share Posted November 2, 2016 We are all experienced PvP players to a degree, but there are less players playing pvp, hence longer matchmaking times, matchmaking skill as well. But the red bars are making PvP unplayable, of which people like me just refuse to play it . I personally won't play PvP at all anymore, couldn't think of nothing worse, the lag just isn't fair, making the game zero fun. I used to love playing pvp...now won't play it at all . Solo queueing takes ages, puts you in losing groups with only 4 players and most of the players in the game are red baring. Took me 8h to get the "win 10 matches" part of the quest. I really hope that the fine folks here can do something against the red baring at least, but the more I think about it it might just be the changes that came with RoI that made everything worse (SBMM?). But at the moment it's constant lag, ghost bullets, shot through walls, or shotgun range of a Sniper, two tap by H/C Matchmaking time, wow yes silly. as for wins how...? With the extreme lag going on half your shots don't register or, you can melee and no damage, unless your a stormcaller..since RIOrion it's just been unplayable.
