  1. Anytime I have my XR500 router connected, everything as far as internet works fine. Getting into Black Ops 4 works fine. Open NAT on Xbox and in Black Ops 4. But once I try to start a game it boots me out. Not super technical. But if I take the Geo filter and move it from 400mi to 1200mi it doesn’t make a difference, can’t connect to a game. But if I delete the device I’m filtering (Xbox one) it works fine. I may be doing something incorrect but I don’t think I am. Any help would be great. Thanks
  2. Hello Support team, I am having issues with my Nighthawk XR450 dropping the internet connection daily for the 3rd day in a row. I have the Nighthawk connected directly to an Arris Surfboard SB 6190 and have all my devices connected to it directly through CAT 7 ethernet cables. Divices include older PC, PS4, and Amazon Fire TV, not to mention several wifi devices, mostly our 2 mobiles. Based upon some of the other support topics I'm wondering if it might be because I leave my PS4 in sleep mode and after reading other posts have learned that it maybe a common issue that might be resolved with a firmware update. If that is the case can someone please provide me with that firmware if not what might you suggest. My internet connection has been working fine when I connect directly to the modem. Thus far I have been disappointed with the router due too connectivity issues and lag, anything that you can suggest to help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Gman
  3. Well, After much speculation and debate on the actual release date of the Nighthawk XR500 for the UK (and Europe) Amazon has finally announced the date as March 1st 2018 and are Now taking Pre-Oders. 4. Hi all. Just trawling through the internet on this fine morning and noticed that netgear have updated their website featuring the new XR500 and that it is coming soon to the UK and I presume Europe too. http://www.netgear.co.uk/npg/xr500/ B.D
  5. Is there anyone who has the best setting for PUBG on their new XR500? I play on console and no matter what settings I adjust and try, I keep getting network lag dectecion mid gameplay! Help please
  6. I know this is a shot in the dark, but by any chance have y’all had any talks with Netgear about the possibility of using dumaOS on other older nighthawk models?!?! Bought me a Nighthawk x8 to use for WiFi after I bought my R1, I’d really like to be able to use all the power that router has with DumaOS. I thought I saw a Nighthawk x8 promo that had a DumaOS coloration to it when looking up all the specs and videos on the new xr500... Hope y’all have that in the works!

    Nighthawk DumaOS view.

This video is in nordic but it is not long, but what is really worth the watch is to see the new OS. It looks stunningly sexy and I really have to praise and tip my hat to Netduma for such a fantastic job. https://youtu.be/hOwvbD6g54k B.D
  8. Hi all. Initially I was pissed as there was no info on the UK release of the Nighthawk and it was US release only (for the moment) and with Netduma being a UK software company I was frustrated. This was due partly to april being a 17 month period since Netduma posted a tweet of the DumaOS also personally I am losing my eyesight and have been forced to take early retirement and voluntary redundancy so my frustration came out yesterday. Netduma are a fantastic company and I have huge respect for them and also the moderators on here and everyone in the forum who helps each other. So let's all stop whining about having to wait til April 17th/18th for the DumaOS........at the end of the day you are getting a completely new OS and not an update of the current firmware FOR FREE!!!!!!!!! So let's all stop whining, have a group hug and look forward to DumaOS as it will be amazing!!!!!!!!! B.D
  9. I've been trying to specifically limit my PS4 vicariously through my laptop... So, I've been trying to find the sweet "buffer bloat" spot by testing my laptop in various settings... unfortunately I can't set a fixed speed for it... Capping my upload & download for the purposes of streaming isn't a viable option because I stream at 1080p @ 8Mbps. I have FIOS 300/300 and it would only make sense that I should be able to set apart something similar to a QOS. If I cap my UP & Down at 80% My Primary Router is the Netduma R1 and all the devices go either directly to the Netduma or connect via an 8-port switch to the Netduma. It seems like a poor design to not be able to set a finite speed, also I was considering having a 2Gbps line run... I noticed that the cap can go no lower than 10%... trying to achieve this prompts errors... According to the link on the bottom of the page, 11 months ago, you folks were going to release a feature that allowed this on the "next update"... I'm sure we many many many updates into the future... Not trying to blast anyone here... just trying to figure out how we CAN truly make this the BEST gaming Router in the World. At this point I'm simply better for the money with a Nighthawk... QOS seemed to work better for me when I was using it as I could use QOS on a per device basis... and it was set it and forget it... http://forum.netduma.com/topic/14374-feature-request-limit-uploaddownload-to-specific-speeds-for-specific-devices/
  10. Hi Are there still issue's using PPPOE ? Last time i used the Duma as the main router connected to the modem, it cut my speeds in half. I want to change my set up to Modem > Duma > Nighthawk. But I had speed drop issues last time i tried this.
